The MU 09XV is an acetate oval at 53-17-140, and the narrow 17mm bridge is what separates it from the other ovals in the line — the lenses sit close together, which lengthens the frame across the face and keeps a 53mm eye from looking wide. The acetate is cut with a raised brow line and a gold metal detail along the temple. Black is the only stocked front. Between the ovals, these eyeglasses are the choice for close-set eyes or a narrow nose bridge, where the 20mm bridges elsewhere in the range push the lenses outward and leave the pupils sitting off-centre. It is a quiet frame that relies on proportion rather than colour.

1) How to read frame size (on your glasses)
Look inside the temple (arm). You’ll see numbers like: 52□18–140

Match these to the new frame for the most reliable fit.
2) Quick fit by face width (no glasses handy?)
Use a ruler (millimeters) across your face at the pupils, or try the “credit-card test” (a card is ~54 mm wide).
