Start with the front shape, not the brand. Square and rectangle are the broadest families and the safest place to begin; round, oval and cat-eye change the look of the face far more. Once you have a shape, filter by lens width — that number matters more to how a frame sits than anything else on the page.

Three of them: lens width, bridge width and temple length, all in millimetres, usually written 52□18 145. Lens width is the widest point of one lens, bridge is the gap between them, temple is the arm. If you have a pair that fits, those three numbers are the most useful thing you can bring to a new one.

We list UV protection on a product only where the brand's own specification states it. Where a spec does not say, we leave the field empty rather than assume — an empty field means we could not confirm it, not that the answer is no. Check the product page for the pair you are considering.

From around AED 260 to several thousand, with the middle of the range sitting near AED 1,100. The spread comes down to the frame material, the lens, and whether the house makes its own. Filtering by price after you have chosen a shape is more useful than doing it the other way round.
